Francis Signalling Searchlight FSP250

The FSP250 is a 250mm pedestal or bridge wing-mounted signalling searchlight for medium and large vessels. Constructed from marine-grade anti-magnetic brass with IP56 weatherproofing, it delivers 10-mile daylight signalling range and supports morse code transmission at up to 12 words per minute. The shutter locks for searchlight operation.

MAIN IMAGE

The Francis FSP250 Signalling Searchlight is engineered for demanding maritime and land-based signalling applications. The 250mm (10-inch) projector mounts on pedestals or bridge wings and operates via ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore morse code signalling.

All-brass, anti-magnetic construction with IP56 weatherproofing ensures reliable operation in corrosive marine environments. The locking shutter mechanism enables dual-mode operation: signalling and searchlight functionality.

APPLICATIONS

Primary use cases.

Medium and Large Vessels

Ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore signalling on commercial and naval vessels.

TECHNICAL FAQ

Common specifications and regulatory inquiries.

What mounting options are available for the FSP250?
The FSP250 supports pedestal or bridge wing mounting configurations for medium and large vessels.
Can the FSP250 operate as both a signalling light and searchlight?
Yes. The locking shutter mechanism allows operation in signalling mode (morse code transmission) or searchlight mode.
What is the daylight signalling range?
The FSP250 achieves a minimum signalling range of 10 miles (16 km) in daylight conditions.
What voltage options are available?
The FSP250 operates on 115V or 230V AC at 1,000W power consumption.
Is the FSP250 suitable for marine environments?
Yes. Marine-grade anti-magnetic brass construction and IP56 weatherproofing ensure durability in corrosive salt-water and high-humidity conditions.
